Pastor Rod Holler is the founder and pastor of the Cape Baptist Church. He was born in Pennsylvania. After graduating from high school he graduated from Harrisburg Area Community College with an Associate Degree in Electronics. From there he graduated from Shippensburg State College (now Shippensburg University) with a major in Business Marketing.

In 1980 he was relocated by his job to Chicago where he became active at the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church with Dr. James A. Scudder. As a member of the church he was employed at Northrop Defense Systems and Hewlett Packard. During this employment he attended Dayspring Bible College. In 1985 he joined the staff of the church. He completed his undergraduate Bible Studies and was ordained in 1988. He continued on staff at the Quentin Road Bible Baptist Church and served in a variety of ways as Assistant Pastor, Administrator and Vice President of the Dayspring Bible College. He continued his studies through the Solid Rock Theological Seminary where he earned his Doctorate in Theology.

While serving at Quentin Road he met Cindy and they married in 1981. They have 2 children, Erin and Rodney. Cindy left her career as a dental hygienist to serve as the Preschool Director at the Quentin Road Christian Preschool. She served in that position for 19 years. As director of the preschool she maintained a staff of about 65 teachers and aides to care for an annual enrollment of about 1,500 children.

In September 2007 he started the Cape Baptist Church. He is dedicated to the clear gospel of grace apart from any works. His Bible teaching includes expository preaching as well as topical messages and studies. Pastor Holler continues as the Vice President of the Dayspring Bible College and develops curriculum for the school.
